For the past year, reports have been consistently detailing the decline in restaurant same store sales. Mirus reporting clients, as a group, have not suffered this fate.

Mirus Index is a same store sales performance benchmark of all the restaurant companies who use Mirus reporting solutions. For the past eight years we have routinely compared the Mirus Index against the more popular indices published by companies like Black Box Intelligence, MillerPulse, Restaurant Research, and others.

The numbers for May 2017 recently were published and once again, the numbers show the companies using Mirus perform well above the industry averages. In the chart below we compare the Mirus Index to the Black Box Intelligence Same Store Sales. The blue columns are Black Box, and the green columns are Mirus. The red line shows the difference between the two indices as measured in basis points where 1.00% = 100 Basis Points.

Over the past twelve months, Mirus clients have same store sales increases that average 280 basis points over the industry average. That is an additional 2.8% increase in revenues! From June 2016 through May 2017, the same store sales of Mirus clients as a group increased 1.3%, or about 2.8% better than the industry average decrease of (1.5%).
